Each October, during Careers in Construction Month, ABC Texas Gulf Coast proudly hosts the ABC Construction Exhibition, an exciting and immersive hands-on event that brings together industry leaders and local students for a one-of-a-kind career exploration experience.
Held at the Brazosport Training Center, this annual event draws over 400 high school juniors from Brazoria and Matagorda Counties—students who are eager to roll up their sleeves and discover the world of construction and skilled trades. With the support of dozens of partnering companies, this exhibition turns interest into action by offering students the chance to try real tasks performed by craft professionals in the field.
This is not your typical career fair. The ABC Construction Exhibition is an interactive showcase of opportunities in the construction industry, where students can actively engage in:
Each station is staffed by experienced tradespeople and company representatives who guide students through tasks, answer questions, and share insights about what it’s really like to work in the field. Whether a student is interested in welding, heavy equipment operation, or general construction, there’s something to spark their curiosity and passion.
Get ready for another incredible day of hands-on discovery as we welcome students, instructors, and industry leaders for the 2025 ABC Construction Exhibition. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever—with new stations, expanded activities, and more participating companies.
ABC Texas Gulf Coast welcomes industry partners, educators, and volunteers to help make this event a success.
