Building the Future, One Student at a Time

At Merit Shop Training, Inc (MSTI), we’re dedicated to growing the next generation of skilled professionals.  Much like our tradesmen, we love hands-on learning and activities ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.  Through these programs we help young people discover rewarding, high-demand career paths while promoting safety, education, and pride in craftsmanship. Together, we’re building the foundation for the future workforce—one student at a time.

Our youth programs are designed to inspire curiosity, teach safety, and highlight the exciting career opportunities available in the industrial construction trades. From interactive events to classroom visits, we bring learning to life for students of all ages.

Career Days

We partner with schools and community organizations to host Career Days that give students a firsthand look at the construction industry. Through hands-on demonstrations and conversations with industry professionals, students learn about career pathways, training opportunities, and how skilled trades play a vital role in building strong, thriving communities.

PPE Paul & Safety Education

In partnership with the Brazosport Safety Council, we created PPE Paul—our fun, friendly safety ambassador who teaches kids the importance of Personal Protective Equipment and safe practices. Through interactive demonstrations, activities, and storytelling, PPE Paul helps students understand how proper safety gear protects workers and keeps every jobsite safe.

Touch-a-Truck, STEM events and more

We proudly participate in Touch-a-Truck events, STEM programs, and community activities that bring the excitement of construction and industry directly to local families. Our team showcases equipment, careers, and hands-on learning experiences. Contact us to reserve MSTI for your next event and inspire the next generation of builders and innovators.
