Merit Shop Training, Inc. (MSTI) is the educational affiliate of ABC Texas Gulf Coast Chapter.   MSTIs mission is to provide a highly qualified workforce for local industry and contractor members.

MSTI is committed to workforce development and offers scholarships each year to area high schools. This scholarship is provided through Brazosport College  our 40+ year partner, for students wishing to study crafts or other construction related fields.

Craft Training at Brazosport College

MSTI offers NCCER training and Certification for many crafts. Much of the training is done in partnership with our 40+ year partner, Brazosport College. ABC Members and their employees are eligible for tuition discounts if they register through MSTI.  Fall & Spring Semester courses are available in the areas below:

2019 Scholarship Applications

The deadline for 2019 Scholarship Applications for Construction Trades Training is April 5, 2019!  
The purpose of the scholarship program is to attract qualified persons into the construction industry in the Brazosport area.  This is a general scholarship application for funds covering approved Merit Shop Training, Inc. (MSTI) courses in construction trades at Brazosport College. 

Scholarship Availability Deadline:  The $1,000 scholarship is available for use for one (1) complete academic/calendar year, including summer and midwinter or mini-sessions.  Any and all portions of the monies unused during the 12-month academic year after the scholarship has been awarded will be returned by Brazosport College to ABC/MSTI.

Selection Guidelines
Two (2) scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each may be awarded to each participating high school based on available funding and qualified applicants.
