Focuses on establishing and improving business relationships through networking events such as the annual Crawfish and Shrimp Boils.
Provides ABC Members with information and training relating to improving their Human Resources functions with specific focus on employment law and procedures through scheduled webinars, Q&A sessions, and symposiums/luncheons.
Analyzes the political environment in the chapter area and recommends political candidates for endorsement; obtains contributions from chapter members for the ABC PAC, and provides information to members on relevant political matters at the local, state and national levels.
Focuses on the education and development of the existing and future workforce by providing NCCER curriculum and actively engaging in career fairs and awareness of available construction/craft careers; hosts the Construction Exhibition for local high school students to be introduced to opportunities in the industry.
Projects a positive image of ABC and their members to the general public to enhance the business opportunities for merit shop contractors, suppliers and their associates. This committee supports local charitable organizations through activities such and Food and Toy Drives and charitable donations through fund-raising events such as the annual Barbecue Cook-Off.
