Goals
- Utilize outside, recognized experts to conduct Human Resources Informational Seminars for human resources representatives and management of ABC member companies, as well as invited guests. Suggested topics to include new Wage & Hour Legal Issues, Unemployment Claims regulations and process, and updated county emergency response recommendations following 2005 hurricanes.
- Produce a Human Resources update feature for each issue of the ABC “Coastline.” Nancy Wollam will continue to submit articles on behalf of this committee.
- Conduct at least 3 quarterly Question & Answer Sessions with committee member attorneys for ABC members to review and discuss current legal trends in Human Resources.
- Conduct a "Legal Clinic" with committee member attorneys for ABC members to meet "one-on-one" in short appointments and obtain confidential opinions and guidance.
- Conduct monthly committee meetings and provide opportunity for members to discuss common issues and solutions.
- Encourage ABC member companies to be represented and recruit others to participate on the Human Resources committee.
- The Human Resources Committee will participate in workforce development, i.e. ABC Construction Exhibition and etc.
The Human Resources Committee will meet on the second Thursday of each month at 3:00 p.m..
