On June 8, 2010 MSTI and ABC were proud to welcome 44 new graduates to their ranks of well-trained, skilled craftsmen. The 2010 class included students from Electrical, Millwright, Scaffolding, Pipefitting, Instrumentation Fitter, Engineering and Graphics Design, Safety, Health and Environmental Management, and Construction Management.
Each of these 44 students spent many nights after a long day at work to increase their knowledge and skills. The many benefits for individuals are outweighed only by the value to our local contractors and industry. Our mission is to provide a highly-trained, highly-skilled workforce for the Texas Gulf Coast.
Most graduates spent a minimum of two years pursuing their certificates. Several also received an Associate of Applied Science degree from Brazosport College, our long-time partner in craft training. ABC and MSTI wish to congratulate each graduate from the 2010 class and thank each contractor member who supported the efforts of these craftsmen.
The ABC Public Relations Committee reeled in fishing enthusiasts from all over Texas to the Annual Inshore Fishing Tournament. The event proceeds will go to benefit the local community. The tournament was held on June 4, 5 & 6 at KC’s On The Creek at Oyster Creek. The tournament cash awards were given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place Trout, Redfish and Flounder.
